PROPFUN publishes how it makes money, because the prop-firm business model is mostly fees from people who fail, and traders deserve to know that before they pay.
The ledger
| Side | Item |
|---|---|
| In | Exam fees from people who fail |
| In | Exam fees from people who pass |
| In | 20% of every winner's profit |
| Out | Losses on funded seats, each capped by the auto-cut |
The honest numbers
Across the prop-firm industry, a dataset of more than 100,000 traders across 10 firms (FPFX Tech) found:
| Measure | Rate |
|---|---|
| Challenges passed | about 14 in 100 |
| Traders who got a payout | about 7 in 100 |
Firms count "pass" differently, so treat these as a range, not a promise. PROPFUN will publish its own rates from the chain once exams run, because every grade is a public record.
A calculator
The house ledger has a calculator: choose the fee, the pass rate, the share of funded seats that end at the cut and the average profit of the rest, and see the house's result per 100 exams. Those are your inputs, not a forecast.
What PROPFUN will never say
- That a funded seat is easy money.
- A pass rate it has not measured.
- A payout total that is not on chain.
